I coach students and families through the entire college application process. This involves empowering students to take fuller ownership of their learning. It also involves teaching students how to be proactive when communicating with their high school teachers and counselors. Together, students and I research and determine the best-fitting colleges and universities for them. I support students as they track important deadlines for admissions materials and as they craft and edit their admissions essays. I also help students understand the various platforms for submitting applications and orient them with helpful scholarship resources. 

As a specialist in secondary reading and writing instruction, I help students better understand their assignments and draw upon their strengths to complete them. I also help students navigate the complexities of school by teaching them how organizational systems work. The ultimate goal is to empower students to recognize their strengths, advocate for their needs, communicate effectively, and produce their best work. This involves taking greater ownership of the learning process, which is essential for success in school and beyond.
